The bathroom and kitchen are two places that need cleaning the most. One of the toilet’s main enemies is humidity, so its cleaning requires special attention. If we want to ensure our family’s health, we must dedicate time to cleaning and disinfection.
Here, we will give you several practical tips to disinfect your bathroom.
1. First, you must wear gloves to disinfect the bathroom. This way, you protect yourself and avoid burns caused by abrasive products. You must also use specific products for each part of the bathroom, such as tiles, taps, or toilets.
2. Soap residue that falls during showers often sticks to the bathtub. To remove soap residue faster, you can clean it with vinegar, which you mix with hot water. If the bathtub has rust residue, prepare a solution of salt and lemon and mix it with very hot water. Scrub with a sponge, and you will see the results.
3. Mixing baking soda with water is an excellent trick for removing stains that form around the drain. When heated, this mixture can remove any residue and return the drain to its original color.
4. To properly disinfect the bathroom at home, we must take special care of the sink and bidet. First, we must remove any traces of makeup, dust, or hair that may have gotten stuck. After this, use a suitable soap to clean these parts. We recommend that you dry them with a dry cloth to remove any traces of moisture and thus make them shine more. If there are stubborn stains, mix one dose of alcohol for every six doses of hot water, and you will see how they disappear.
5. The toilet is the element of the bathroom that requires the most cleaning. To disinfect it, cleaning it daily and deep cleaning it once a week is necessary. In this case, we can use ammonia. We mix a dose of ammonia inside the toilet and rub it with a scouring pad along all the edges. Then, we wipe the toilet with a damp cloth and remove the moisture with a cloth.
6. The taps are the most delicate element of the bathroom. We can clean them with white detergent and hot water if they are made of stainless steel. Then, we can wipe them with a damp, dry cloth to make them shine. We must carefully choose a soft sponge that does not scratch the taps.
7. To finish the disinfection, the tiles should also be cleaned. It is recommended that you do it once a month for good maintenance. To do this, we will fill a bucket with hot water and add a splash of special soap for bathrooms. We can include a cap of ammonia for further disinfection. With a sponge, we scrub the tiles, and with a damp cloth, we remove the soap that has been produced. Finally, we will remove the moisture with a dry cloth. This will prevent mold from forming.
